Welcome to our Guest Speakers Program 

 
One of the special things about coming to a Rotary meeting is listening to our many and varied Guest Speakers.
They speak on all sorts of topics that bring Rotary members up to date with the latest trends and opposing views.
Members of the public who would like to hear these speakers are most welcome but need to book for catering purposes
(dinner meal at your cost).So come along, enjoy the camaraderie, good meal and listen to a speaker of your interest.

Our Next Speakers are:- 

 
3rd April – Lloyd Chatfield, Rotary District 9675, Chairman, Rotarians against Malaria (RAM) Committee.
Lloyd will be speaking on the impact that Rotary has had in reducing the incidence of malaria in our near neighbours (Solomon Islands, PNG and Timor Leste ). He will also speak about the latest initiatives of Rotary to be involved with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to eradicate malaria.  Bill Gates, the head of the world's largest private charitable foundation, has called on Australia to become the regional champion of a historic drive to eradicate malaria from Asia within 10 years.
 
16th April  2018 - Alf Tremain -  RAAF in PNG – Land of rocked filled clouds
Alf is an ex RAAF pilot who had flown in PNG on many post war missions. He will be speaking on his experiences in flying in PNG with its very short and rain sodden runways and the fear of rock covered clouds etc. 
 
 21st May 2018- Jean Campbell  - World War 1 Battalions, Colours, Beginning of the War.
Jean is a long time member of the Botany Bay Family Historical Society and its Research Centre Coordinator – She has made valuable contributions during her 22 years of membership with the Society during which time she has always taken an active part in the running of the organisation, including holding various positions on the management committee. Jean oversaw the opening of the Research Centre in 2006 and is responsible for the management and operation of the centre. She holds education classes and talks.  
With 2018 being the Armistice year of WW1, this presentation should not be missed particularly by those interested in Australia’s participation in this war. 
 
25th June 2018 - Jeremy Scott   -  Jeremy is an Inspirational Guest Speaker & Author- Biography - 52,000 kms cycling-
Jeremy is a highly entertaining and inspirational speaker who never fails to deliver. From Australia to Britain, New Zealand to Singapore, the demand for his services as a speaker are high. Through his own incredible experiences, Jeremy highlights what is possible in life with a positive mindset, a bit of determination and the courage to take that first step.
