Did anybody watch the Paralympics on TV these past weeks ? It was inspiring to see how people with  disabilities strived to perform and overcome that disability just to compete and be among others with similar disability. It was good to hear that  Medalists will now be given a financial benefit. Maybe it might help cover their ongoing expenses.
But the focus of this story is Daniel Michel,  Boccia champion . You probably have read his story, if not you will find it at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Michel

Congratulations Daniel , a job well done. Lets hope you continue with your selected sport and pursue your dreams .
Daniel is a true ambassador  for the Paralympic movement and Australia. "At the 2020 Paralympics , Michel won Australia's first individual medal for boccia by winning the bronze medal in the Mixed BC3. Australia's previous boccia medal was in the Pairs C1 at the  1996 Atlanta Paralympics. His Ramp Assistant, Ashlee McClure " (ref: wikipedia) is to be commended as she obviously played an important role in his success. See Daniel's Facebook page for more about the Boccia action.
Prior to the Paralympics, Daniel sought sponsorship from Engadine Rotary. Accordingly the club responded and wished him every success at the Tokyo games.
