Engineers Australia (( formerly Institute Of Engineers Australia),Sydney Division In association with major sponsors, NSW Universities Engineering schools and participating Rotary Districts will be conducting a number of short Term Engineering Schools designed for those students wishing to pursue a Engineering career and providing an opportunity to understand the Engineering profession.

1.Honeywell Engineering Summer Science School
The Honeywell Engineering Summer School (HESS) takes place in December each year and brings together 100 students who are interested in pursuing engineering as a career and about to enter year 12. This school is usually held in early December and conditions apply - see application form for 2016 School at http://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/sites/default/files/honeywell_2016.pdf

It is a weeklong school, which for 2106 will be accommodated at the Dunmore Lang College, Macquarie University Sydney.
Throughout the week-long program, students are introduced to six universities, including University of Sydney, University of New South Wales, University of Western Sydney, University of Technology Sydney, Macquarie University, and University of Wollongong. The students are also taken behind the scenes of some major engineering companies and projects to see engineers at work.

Applications open around May each year and are accepted on a first come, first served basis so please register early to avoid disappointment. Registration is through the above email address and/or contact if you have further questions.

2. Cochlear Autumn School of Engineering
The Cochlear Autumn School of Engineering will bring together 50 Year 11 and 12 Students from Sydney Metropolitan Area and who are facing choices which will influence their future careers. The objective of the course is to give Sydney metropolitan area high school students a better understanding of what engineering is and how it works in everyday life.
This School is usually held in the first week of the Autumn school break each year

3. Discover Engineering
The Discover Engineering Day program presents an opportunity for students years 10 and 11 to be exposed to engineering as an industry and as a profession. The day consists of hands on engineering activities, presentations from student and professional engineers. It is a fun and interactive day where students can learn about what a career in engineering is all about.

4. EngQuest
Engquest is a fun and interactive program of Engineers Australia designed to help students achieve key learning outcomes in science, technology and mathematics . School students work in teams, at their own pace applying their problem solving skills to unravel exciting engineering projects
