Pride Of Workmanship awards
Employers - This is Your Chance to Recognise those Employees who have made a difference to YOUR Business or Organisation
About the Pride of Workmanship program
Pride of Workmanship is an approved Rotary project instigated in 1975 by the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills (Australia, District 9680).Originally started in Engadine in the 1994/95 Rotary year, the award has additional significance as it perpetuates the memory of the late Rotarian Tony Waird, who as an Engadine Shoe Repairer, was always proud of the quality of his product and the service he provided to his customers.
The Award seeks to promote this theme by honouring those people, irrespective of age or vocation, who in the eyes of their respective employers, show a distinct quality in their approach, attitude and dedication to their job.
The Pride of Workmanship Program enables managers in our society to help employees achieve the goal of job satisfaction, and publicly recognize them for their efforts.
Participating businesses promote the Pride of Workmanship theme of "Do it once- do it well" throughout their organization and nominate employees worthy of recognition, not only within the organization, but the wider community. Nominees of the Pride of Workmanship Program are presented with a trophy in recognition of their achievements.
Each year the Rotary Club of Engadine seeks nominations from the community and employers, for people, who are deserving of recognition of their sense of responsibility to do a job consistently well.
